We both swiped right and the rest is history! Yes, we met on online (it really works!) We met for dinner one evening... I talked a lot and Jon talked very little, but before the night was over there was already plans for date number two. Here we are - three years later to the day!

We were traveling to England to visit Jeremy (Jon's brother) and his family. Jon had settled on the location to pop the question, which required a reservation. Knowing scheduled plans would surely tip me off, Jon knew he needed some reasoning to be in that area. He prepared a map to plan our day of sightseeing- ultimately leading to the Sky Garden in London. The day got off to an interesting start- we locked ourselves INSIDE Jeremy and Katie's apartment! After a couple of hours of brainstorming how to get out, we eventually threw a set of keys into the neighbor's yard from the top floor (hardly missing a pond of water) and were on our way. Jon nervously rushed me across the city to make sure we made our reservation time. We went up 38 stories to a botanical garden in the sky and this is where he got down on one knee!

Two weeks before our wedding we were struck with the reality that our special day was going to look nothing like we had planned. After lots of calls to vendors and all of you lovely people with the change of plans, along with a rushed trip to the courthouse to get our marriage license before the state closed them down, we had a day that was more than we could have ever wanted. April 4, 2020 was a crisp cool and sunshiny day. We took the morning slow by making breakfast together and taking a virtual yoga class ( you know, to calm our nerves.) I finished decorating the wedding cake I had made for us and Jon snuck off to the store to buy me flowers that were my bouquet. A few family and friends gathered in our driveway, yard, and the street while those who couldn't be there in person joined a Zoom call. (This was really fun to go back and watch later on!) We exchanged vows in our driveway and celebrated with a small fire and pizza delivery. We ended the night calling our family and enjoying champagne and cake. You couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces if you tried. :) We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter of our life with you! See you September 12th!
