For our first date, Michael suggested we do an escape room. At the time, Grace thought that was probably the fastest way to find out if you liked someone or not, so she figured it was a good idea. To Michael's dismay, we did not make it out of the escape room; we can blame it on first-date nerves. Despite the failed escape, neither of us wanted the night to end, so we drove to the Horseshoe at the University of South Carolina to sit on a bench and talk. The date quickly dissolved into the classic scenario of "I bet you can't beat me in a foot race," and needless to say, we had so much fun together that we've decided to keep it going; a lifetime sounds good to us. Between that first date and now, we have gotten to go on countless adventures with our friends and have shared so many wonderful moments with one another's families. We can't emphasize enough how every one of you has had an impact on our lives and our growth as a couple. We are so lucky that we get to share our wedding day with the people we love the most.
