As we look ahead to our wedding day, we want to pause and say thank you. Long before this moment, you’ve shown up for us in the ways that matter most. Through your time, guidance, encouragement, and steady support, you’ve helped shape who we are and how we move through life together. Now, as many of you prepare to travel, rearrange schedules, and gather with us to celebrate, we are deeply aware of the effort and love that goes into simply being present. We don’t take that lightly. Your past support makes this upcoming moment even more meaningful, and knowing we’ll be surrounded by the people who have carried us to this point fills us with gratitude. We can’t wait to celebrate not just a day, but the community that has always stood behind us. With heartfelt thanks, Emerson and Zachary
We are incredibly thankful for the talented team of 20+ wedding professionals who have invested so much of their time, care, and creativity into making our dream wedding day a reality. Your dedication behind the scenes and your commitment to what’s ahead mean so much to us. Thank you for being part of this journey. We’re so grateful for what you’ve already given and what’s still to come. Now let's party!
Our story started in 2017 at the infamous "Whitener House" at App State. There was an instant, easy connection between us, the kind where you feel like you’ve known someone for years. For most of college, we remained just casual friends and crossed paths occasionally around campus and at bars. Fast forward to early 2020. Emerson was finishing her senior year and heading to LSU for grad school, while Zach was getting ready to start grad school at Wake Forest. Despite the timing, we decided to finally go on a date: a simple picnic with wine and snacks near Zach’s studio in Winston-Salem. Somewhere between the conversation and the laughter, everything clicked. It felt familiar and calm. On her drive home that afternoon, Emerson called her mom and said, "I’m going to marry him." She was right. Since then, we’ve moved from Winston-Salem to Durham to Cary, and finally to Austin, Texas. We’ve tackled grad school, career shifts, and the chaos and joy of raising three dogs who quickly became the center of our universe. Through every new city, the one thing that never changed was how natural it felt to be together. Zach pointed out early on that our initials, E and Z, weren't just a coincidence. "Life together is E Z" became our mantra. It’s even engraved inside of both of their rings as a reminder that while life isn’t always effortless, loving each other always has been. Whether we’re playing pickleball, grabbing morning coffee, or out on a long drive with the pups, we’re just happy to be doing it side by side. There have been a million invisible strings connecting us along the way. We are so grateful for the way we found our way to each other. Thank you for being a part of our story. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
