National WWI Museum and Memorial
Hands down the best view of the Kansas City skyline, and one of Scout's favorite parks to run to. An absolute must! Hop on the street car for free and get off at Union Station, walk up to the Memorial and take in the beautiful sights of the city.
City Market
Take a walk down to the Mighty Mo and check out the local farmer's market on your way! You'll have no trouble finding fun things to eat with its large assortment of vendors, cafes and restaurants.
Green Lady Lounge
While New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz, Kansas City is where jazz grew up. Green Lady Lounge (or GLL as we call it in our household) is open 365 days a year, serving up KC style jazz until 3am. We love taking visitors here!
Banksia Bakehouse
Our favorite spot in KC for a quick breakfast or lunch, and one of Meghan's favorite places to work from. Stop by and try the avocado toast, sausage rolls or the Niçoise salad -- those are our faves!
Pigwich
Chiefs coach Andy Reid loves this spot! Pigwich has amazing sandwiches and burgers made from locally-raised, natural meats. Plus the handmade fries are drool-worthy. Check out the attached butcher shop Local Pig right next door for more fun snacks.
County Road Ice House
Located in the heart of the Power & Light district, County Road serves up some mean BBQ and margaritas. Joe's wings, brisket nachos, and the chicken Z are a few of our favorite things!
Boulevard Brewing Company
Best local beer in town!
Streetcar Grille & Tavern
Casual spot for drinks and food near downtown hotels and the venue. Highly recommend the stuffed tater tots!
