Emerson and Hunter met 3 years ago in a painting studio at the University of Toledo. They first started talking over a game of chess, as to which Hunter won. This lead to many nights of long phone calls, revealing that Hunter has never had a cronut. Em took it upon herself to educate him about the wonders of the dessert, where they shared an oreo cronut. Their first date was at the Toledo Zoo, competing to find hidden tree frogs and holding hands at the red pandas. For their third date, they went to the botanical gardens and offically became a couple. After a tough year of dating long distance, they reunited in Kalamazoo to live together. Over these 3 short years of growing along side one another, many park adventures, and talking about their goals for the future, they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Hunter proposed to Emerson at Kleinstuck Nature Preserve and are to be wed on Octerber 10, 2026 at Oak Opening Lodge, surrounded by their closest friends and family. They can't wait to see you all there!
