The future Carrolls!

(Hi! Emersen here!) Zak and I have technically known each other for over 20 years. We were in the same preschool class, went to the same elementary school and graduated high school together. Did we talk during all those years? Probably not once! We were definitely in different friend groups in high school. Zak actually recently admitted to me that him and his friends referred to me as "slugbug" in high school because I drove a red convertible bug and could be spotted from miles away lol! They say boys only tease someone when they have a crush on ‘em! 😉 Fast forward seven years after graduation - one random BBQ, one mutual friend (shoutout Maddie!) and one unexpected reunion… and somehow, we ended up being the last two people there! Long story short, Zak left that night with a new number in his phone. 😉 A few days later, he invited me to his Moses Lake house for Memorial Day Weekend. I tried to play hard to get, spoiler alert: I failed. Since that weekend, we’ve been inseparable — laughing, adventuring, and building a life we truly love. From preschool pals to my forever — who would’ve thought? Zakary, you are my best friend, my favorite person, and the easiest yes. I love you more ❤️
