Besides having mutual friends, we saw each other at two separate social gatherings, just enough for me to remember his face because I thought he was so cute!! Apparently, he was thinking the same thing, because one day, he popped up in my Instagram DMs with a message that was just smooth enough to work (; We made plans to hang out one night, got bread bowls and clam chowder, found out how much we had in common, and what was supposed to be a casual thing somehow turned into… everything! We Instantly felt at home with each other.

The Golden Gate Overlook holds a special place in our hearts. It was the spot where we went on our very first day trip together and where we took our very first picture as a couple. That view, with the bridge stretching out into the horizon, became our backdrop for so many memories, since we would visit it a couple times a year. When we returned there on THE DAY, I thought we were just reliving a sweet moment from our past, but as I looked out over the bay he asked me to take a picture of Alcatraz…. he then got down on one knee, I turned around and he asked me to spend forever with him! Just when I thought the moment couldn’t get more perfect one of his best friends ( a talented photographer ) had been secretly hiding nearby to capture every second of the proposal. Now we have those unforgettable moments forever, right where our story began. After, we explored nature and the city and then ended up getting bread bowls with clam chowder, a favorite of ours ( our first date vibe haha ). A day we’ll cherish for a lifetime!
