The Story of Us

Emeline was with her friend, Jennifer, at their friend's wedding in October 2021 when Jennifer snapped a picture of the two of them and sent it to a group chat she was in with Nicholas. Next thing you know, Nicholas responds and asks " Who is that and is she single?" Jennifer shares Emeline's instagram handle with Nicholas and later that night, he gives her a follow. A few days later, Nicholas slid into her DMs and the conversation never stopped. Their first date was a double date with Jennifer and her husband, Robbie, at The Society Garden in Macon, GA. The conversations they had together that night were both deep and intentional, yet fun and light-hearted at the same time. And from that moment on, the two were inseparable. After Emeline moved back to Macon in June of 2022, she took a contract job in the same unit Nicholas worked in and that was the start of living their lives together. People thought they were crazy for living and working together and NOT killing each other! Their love for each other only grew as they enjoyed life together. Exploring new cities, taking up new hobbies, and making new friends are just a few of the many things they love doing together. Life got even sweeter when they welcomed their fun-loving pup, Roxy, into their home in March 2024. Early in the morning on Friday November 1st, 2024, Nicholas finally proposed at their favorite local bagel shop. It was the sweetest, most wholesome proposal! And even though Emeline had to go to work right after, they couldn't have asked for a more perfect proposal. As many of you know, we had planned to get married in the beautiful country of Jamaica at Sandals South Coast. Unfortunately, in October 2025, Sandals South Coast was hit by Hurricane Melissa and sustained major damage. We are devastated for the community in Whitehouse, Jamaica and hope and pray they can rebuild and get back on their feet soon. Sandals South Coast has closed its doors until May 2026 to focus on rebuilding and renovating the resort back to what it was like prior to the hurricane. Hurricane Melissa has forced us to have to pivot from our original wedding plans and we had to re-plan our entire wedding. Thanks to our amazing travel agent, Britt, we were able to move our destination wedding to Sandals St. Vincents and have our dream wedding in July 2026. Because we had to change the date, we have had a lot of friends and family express the are unable to celebrate with us then. We still want to get married on February 28th, the original date we had planned, so we planned a small wedding celebration at Society Garden in Macon, GA -- nothing fancy, just love! This will signify us getting "legally married" and the start of our journey together as husband and wife. We will then have our traditional wedding weekend and ceremony in St. Vincents in July. How lucky are we to get to celebrate our marriage twice in a year!? Though it's not what we had envisioned, it's all a part of our unique wedding story. We are so excited to celebrate with you - whether in Macon or St. Vincents (or both!) we are honored to have you in our lives and a part of our story. With Love, Emeline & Nicholas
