Tammy my love, My first love, My friend. Forty years ago you came into my life. Forty years ago I knew you’d be my wife Even Though we were both young and innocent, there was something special about the time we spent. We were two kids in love with each other, but too young to explore one another. I couldn’t get enough of your smile, laughter and companionship. And lord knows I never wanted to abandon it. But one sunny day I looked up at the window and hollered your name. And I continued to call it, but no one ever came. I saw your curtains blowing profusely in the wind. And wanted so badly to see my special little friend. Then one of your neighbors came a disturbed my mood. She asked….. Are you looking for Tammy? Oh, she moved. Even though it was warm and sunny that day. It was a cold day for me. As a child I couldn’t understand why she would flee. My girlfriend was gone without a trace. And I wondered if ever again I’d see her pretty face. Tammy!!! Come back so we can play in the rain. Tammy!!! Come back I’m in so much pain. Tammy!!! Come back I want to hear you laugh. Tammy!!! Come back you were my better half. Tammy!!! Come back I want to carry you on my back. Tammy!!! Come back I want to marry you in fact. As fate would have it, August 8th 2021 we both were invited to the Darrow Homes annual picnic by two mutual friends. Neither one of us had ever attended this picnic. It was “ Gods Plan” I saw Tammy there still beautiful, still elegant, still breathtaking and of course I was still handsome, still strong, and still a gentleman. Sparks flew immediately for the both of us. And the love we had for each other had “never” left. After 40 years This was truly a “Godsend” After decades of wondering about my childhood girlfriend. The lord delivered her to me. As an Adult up close and personal live and in living color. We both stayed in contact with each other and on Christmas Day 2021 I proposed to Tammy and asked her to be my wife and make me the happiest man in the world.
