FAQs

If you have any additional questions that aren't addressed here, please shoot Lacy or Andrew a text (and give us some extra time to respond). :)
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black tie optional. We would love to see you all dressed up in your best! Suits or tuxedos, cocktail dresses, or floor length gowns are all appropriate!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We ask that only those 21 years of age or older attend, as this will be an open bar and all-night-party situation. We love your kids, but we want you to have the night off. No exceptions will be made - we don't even have children in the wedding party!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Seats have been reserved for only the guests whose names are written on the invitation envelope. If you have the words "and guest" included, then you are welcome to bring a plus one!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Ceremony: Oak Lawn UMC has 55 parking spots including handicapped spots. This means parking will be tight for the number of guests, so please plan on carpooling as much as possible! Reception: Street parking is located around the residential areas near the Kessler Theater for free. As with the ceremony site, parking is limited so please carpool or Uber/Lyft as much as possible. Please plan on someone being your designated driver home!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We trust you all to have a plan for a safe and sober ride home after the party - be it Uber, Taxi, or carpooling with a designated driver. We will not have a designated shuttle to and from the hotel, so please plan in advance!
