We first met in choir at Central High-school in Cheyenne, under the direction of Mr.Hurst. Emmy thought Taige was pretty cute but he was in a relationship with someone in Casper at the time. They both were hoping to go to the Homecoming Dance together, and then Emmy was sent to boarding school in South Dakota. They wouldn’t really talk to each other again until a year later.

While Emmy was at Freeman Academy for her senior year of high school in 2020, Taige, who was in Casper at Kelly Walsh, posted his number on his Snapchat story and Emmy messaged him. From there they started talking.

When Emmy returned to Cheyenne for Thanksgiving of 2020, she and Taige went out for a movie and dinner at the Metropolitan. The next day, they also shared their first kiss.

After graduation, Emmy moved back to Cheyenne and would drive to Casper almost every other weekend to spend time with Taige. They did this until October 2021, when Emmy decided to move to Casper.

After spending 9 months in Casper, Emmy decided she wanted to go back to Cheyenne and she was taking Taige with her. They started the process of loading all their things into the back of Emmy's Ford and Taige's Chevy, and halfway into the drive back, the Chevy broke down near Gurnsey. They both pulled over and awaited their rescue by Criss, Emmy's dad. With the help of a family friend who was there to visit, they were able to put the Chevy on a car dolly and towed it the rest of the way.

After settling into life in Cheyenne, on December 19th, Taige and Emmy had the biggest argument they ever had over something silly. After spending most of the day at work not speaking, they arrived home, had a long chat, and continued to talk through the night. Around 1:30 AM Emmy looked at Taige and knew he was right for her, and popped the question. He said yes :)

Less than a month after the engagement, Taige and Emmy were able to rent their own home with the help of Emmy's parents. They moved from Taige's Aunt Ronda's house into their first place in downtown Cheyenne. They already had one kitty named Klaus, but they added Katy to the family shortly after moving.
