Emily's Point of View: My friend and I were at Metro Nightclub having a FEW cocktails until we decided we needed some excitement and wanted to make some new friends. We started looking for people to have a dance party with...when we saw our targets. They were standing outside in a small huddle, so we schemed our bulletproof plan of attack. We walked (stumbled) up to this small group of beautiful women (of course Shannon was in this group) and tried to convince them to come dance with us. They weren't giving in easily; apparently they "didn't" dance. Shannon's friend looked at her and said, "When a pretty girl asks you to dance, you dance." The three of us bopped, boogied and bounced around the dance floor until they finally kicked us out. I instantly was connected to Shannon, who I had never met and at this point, probably didn't even remember her name, but I knew this girl was something special. Shannon's Point of View: My friend Ali and I were at Metro Nightclub with full intentions of relaxing (not dancing) and enjoying a few drinks. We were outside, chatting with a few other friends, when the door flings open and these two blondes stumble toward us. They seemed to have half halfheartedly planned their attack, but either way, Ali wasn't letting me off the hook. I begged her to come with me, but honestly she really doesn't dance. Emily and Melissa dragged me onto the empty dance floor, where I no doubt was praying that these girls wouldn't judge my not so smooth moves. We danced until our calves gave out and little did I know, I had just met my future wife. Over the next few weeks, months and years, the coincidental meeting in a bar turned into a full blown love story (the heartbreak, the drama and the happy ending included) and has shown us that despite strong drinks and bad dance moves, Love Wins!
