Shuttle Update!

We have rented a 14 passenger van, which will run from the venue to La Grange! The van will be on site and ready to take people home at 8pm and the last call will be at 10:30pm.

COVID-19 Updates

To all our family and friends, while we have decided to move forward with our wedding, there are some changes or precautions we would like you all to be aware of! Per Kentucky mandate, masks are required when indoors and not eating or drinking, and even though the ceremony is outside in a field, we still highly encourge our guests to wear them. Also, as there is plenty of space, we will be putting extra room between groups of chairs at the ceremony. Everyone will also recieve a personal handsanitizer! Dinner is now single plated meals to reduce high traffic or multi touch areas. Just so you have an idea of the space, the tables for the reception are inside the barn which is open air (completely open on one end, doors are open on the other) but we would be happy to make special arrangements for those who prefer to sit outside the barn, please just let Scott or I know. The reception includes dinner, toasts, dessert, and first dances and should end around 8pm, but following we will have an “after party” for those who would like to continue mingling or those who wish to dance until dawn! We are so excited to see each and everyone of you!!!

Me + You = Love

From Classmates to Carpool Buddies to Best Friends

Like the engineering nerds we truly are, it all began in math class in the spring of 2015. One day, our teacher asked the class out of the blue who was from Kentucky. This question seemed redundant, I (Emily) was confident that I was the ONLY bluegrass soul at Virginia Tech, yet surprisingly the boy in the front row raised his hand. Two months later over spring break, I was ubering Scott back home to Louisville. Six hours in a car is all it took, between fun conversations that seemed to never end and bumping to "Ride Wit Me" radio on Pandora, I knew we had something special. Now five years later, we are tying the knot back in our home state and couldn't be more excited!

The Proposal

10/13/2019

For me (Emily), it was just another day in Houston's Hermann park. I was absolutely positive that Scott was going to pop the question over Thanksgiving. Kiran, one of my best friends and bridesmaids, happened to be visiting and she had ducked away to "talk to her boyfriend on the phone". Little did I know she was stalking us in the bushes like a camoflauged special ops agent. After losing a few card games (Scott of course), he started to fumble with the bag we had brought. Out came a photobook of our favorite memories and then I knew. Our proposal involved a lot more crying than I ever thought it would and it was perfect.

For all the days along the way
