FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We recommend festive Indian attire — think bright colours, elegant kurtas, saris, lehengas, or shararas! We also welcome Western formal attire! Since the reception party is in June and likely warm, breathable fabrics like cotton, chiffon, silk blends, or light georgette will keep you comfortable while still looking great. Ladies: for footwear, we recommend wedges or flats due to the majority of the venue being grass lawn.

Question

What colour will the bride be wearing?

Answer

The bride will be wearing red for the celebration. We kindly ask guests to avoid wearing red.

Question

What kind of food will there be?

Answer

Delicious Indian cuisine will be catered, featuring both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Expect a variety of dishes and live food stations for an interactive and tasty experience! We will also have food trucks for those who prefer a more conventional food option.

Question

Do I need to bring my own alcoholic drinks?

Answer

Nope! Drinks are provided at our open bar, including coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages, juices, and water throughout the reception.

Question

What activities should I expect?

Answer

There will be plenty to enjoy! Music for dancing and vibes, henna station, lawn games, and cozy lounge and couch areas spread throughout the backyard.

Question

Should I book a hotel or accommodation nearby?

Answer

If you are travelling from out of town or prefer not to drive home after the festivities, booking a hotel is a great idea. The reception location in Milton is near a handful of good options under 15 minutes away (Check Hotels Page)

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

Please park along the roadway on our street - there is plenty of space as the reception is in the country!

Question

Are young children invited?

Answer

Yes! We love all of our family and friends but want to caution those with young children to be advised there will be a swimming pool and several fire features placed throughout the party. The reception will take place over an acre of land so there are no "building walls". Either leave your children at home or keep a close eye at all times.
