Our story begins at Classical High School in AP Euro class circa 2006. Since we were in this class together and shared mutual friends, like most people in 2006, we added each other on Facebook where a short-lived flirtationship full of Facebook pokes began. However, being in the same friend group and from the same neighborhood, we stayed friends over the years by meeting up at Hot Club and Fat Belly's when Elysse would come home from DC where she would jokingly roast Landon and tell him she was the one who got away. Fast forward to 2022, after many years, Elysse finally was able to move back home to New England and reached out to let her old friend Landon know. On December 30th, they decided to catch up and get dinner and drinks at Troop (which Landon insists was a date, Elysse not so much). After learning he did not have any plans for the following night, Elysse invited Landon to her friend’s New Years Eve Party the next day. That night, they both realized that their friendship could be something more and have been together ever since. In October 2024, Landon surprised Elysse by taking them to one of their favorite spots, Prospect Park in Providence. In the city they met in and grew up in, Landon proposed overlooking downtown.
