Though we have lived 1,000 miles apart, it almost feels as if we have grown up together. We can't really remember how we met, but we know we have our calling and church camp to thank for our relationship! Our friendship grew slowly over years of bumping into each other at events: surely we first met as campers in our teen years, then re-met at Dallas prom in 2016. Then came Winter leadership camp later that same year, staffing at Pinecrest in the summer of 2017 and swapping phone numbers, joining the same video call bible study group in 2018, serving as head counselors for the first time at Winter camp 2018, and finally serving as head counselors for brother/sister dorms at Pinecrest in summer of 2019 before we officially started dating. God's way has continued to bless us with so many opportunities to serve and grow together since then, despite the distance. We can't wait to see what He has in store for us as we build the rest of our lives together!
