A warm summer night in 2020 in Indianapolis we both were scrolling on social media at some point we moved onto Bumble to do some swiping. On this particular night we both swiped RIGHT..... on each other that is. We messaged here and there and riiiiiight before Ruben was about to delete LeLe for being a bad texter, she called after seeing what he did for a living ( don't ask it's in the past lol) that night we talked for hours and hours and hours! We set up our 1st date for that next weekend but it felt so long away. We met at a Mexican restaurant (one of our favorites), when LeLe walked in they hugged and in that moment it felt like no-one else was in the room. We stayed at the restaurant talking until they closed, we didn't even realize how late it was. Not wanting the night to end we stood outside to continue talking and planning our next date. After a conversation months later we told each other we knew that night "You were the one". A few dates and random adventures later we had become inseparable. Ruben loved her cooking and Elysha loved learning his culture and eating all the Caribbean food, cooking together had become our love language. Ruben being Haitian gave the opportunity for LeLe to learn another culture. With LeLe having such a big family compared to Ruben not being from Indy and with no family close, LeLe's big family welcomed him right in and he has been apart ever since. The Cherry on top: 8 Days before our 1 year anniversary we welcomed our baby boy Khalil into the world.
