Elyse's POV: Luke says we first met at our church, but I remember meeting at our Young Adults group! He requested to add me as a friend on an app called Locket and from there we began talking daily through voice audios. During the peak of our blossoming friendship, Luke fibbed about liking the musical "Hamilton" and somehow got the invite to watch it with my sister, her boyfriend, and myself. I attribute how we got to where we're at now to both Jesus and that night. The daily voice audios turned into daily hangouts with my sister unknowingly (or perhaps knowingly) being the third wheel, which resulted in Luke initiating *that* conversation. I said yes to being his girlfriend and some time later said yes to being his fiancee! Luke’s POV: I first met Elyse outside of church one night, and she scared the heck out of me! She looked so beautiful, and gripped my hand like a wrench as she maintained strong eye contact. Safe to say she left a strong first impression. Inch by inch I worked my way into her life. My most risky move was lying about liking the play Hamilton, so I could hang out with her. Thankfully it worked! I learned that night that she was more than just a polite person, she’s a genuinely kind person. We had conversations above the surface level, and I saw her heart which led me spiraling into my love for her. With great faith, wild boldness, and persistence, I finally told her how I felt about her and waited a few days to hear how she felt about me! Now we’re getting married and I feel like the richest man in the world!
