Yes. The currency is the Mexican Peso. I recommend talking to your bank in advance to order pesos. There are also ATM machines in and around the main-square (El Jardin) in San Miguel. Also, there are money exchanges like Intercam and Monex. Many hotels and restaurants do take credit cards and US dollars, but most of the smaller places are not set up for it. It's best to carry pesos.
On Friday the dress code is "all white casual," which means a white dress shirt ( Guayabera) and khaki / light-colored pants or shorts for men, and a primarily white outfit for women.. think a sundress or white jeans and a white top. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes during the event such as sneakers or sandals. On Saturday, the dress code is "black-tie optional," which means a tuxedo (if you have one or want to rent one) or a dark suit, and a formal cocktail dress or long dress for women. As for the rest of the time, feel free to wear whatever you want! It does get a little cool at nights, so you may want to pack a light sweater. Pack (and wear) comfortable, flat shoes. San Miguel is a walking city, and many of the streets are cobblestone.
For QRO/BJX: We will be asking for your flight information to get group transportation organized after the RSVP cut off. You can also always get a taxi or hire private transportation service. Flying to MEX: We recommend the ETN Bus Lines for your transportation service. https://etn.com.mx/english/ or you can hire a private driver.
We recommend everyone make a dinner reservation at one of the many amazing restaurants in San Miguel, then after dinner join us at Bar 33 SMA for drinks and celebration.
There is not a particular event scheduled, but Jeff & Elyse will be getting brunch at Hacienda El Santuario if you would like to join and enjoy their great Sunday Brunch Buffett!
