Will the ceremony and reception take place at one location?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will be at Abella Wedding and Events in Chisago City, MN.

Is there parking on site?

Answer

Yes, our venue has a large parking lot on site just across from our ceremony location for your convenience.

Can I leave my car overnight?

Answer

No, cars cannot be left overnight due to city ordinances. To make things easy, we’ll be providing a shuttle service to and from the venue from Running Aces Hotel and Casino. For more information and pick-up schedule please visit the "Travel" tab. If you do not plan on using the shuttle please plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Guests who will be using the shuttle should plan to arrive to Running Aces no later than 4:00pm. Guests who are not taking the shuttle should plan to arrive at the venue by 4:30pm, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00pm. We recommend planning a little extra time for as you may hit traffic from cabin-bound travelers.

Our timeline is as follows... Guest arrival: 4:30pm - 4:55pm Ceremony: 5:00pm - 5:45pm Cocktail Hour: 5:45pm - 7:00pm Dinner & Reception: 7:00pm - 11:30pm

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is cocktail attire and we encourage guests to dress up and celebrate with us! Here are some examples... Women: Elegant midi/knee length dresses or jumpsuits with heels or dressy flats Men: Suits or dress shirt + dress pants with dress shoes, ties encouraged Please avoid: Anything too casual like T-shirts/polos, denim, or shorts Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors with AC but cocktail hour will be outside (weather permitting).

Can I bring my children or a plus-one?

Answer

While we wish we could include everyone, due to venue space we are only able to accommodate guests who are listed on your invitation or included in your RSVP.
