Due to the remote location of (gravel/ dirt remote road to...) the Ranch, please allow enough time to get to and from the venue. DOWNLOAD and/or PRINT the DIRECTIONS ahead of time as there is NO CELL SERVICE in the area. Caravanning with other cars is always a good plan as well. If you have good tires and good headlights you should be fine but its always best to be prepared. Please allow about 1 hour of travel time from the Ketchum area, drive slowly, and have a spare tire. The road is maintained but is unpaved in most portions with no street lights.
If you're staying at the ranch overnight, (or even if you aren't) there are a few things worth knowing before you go: 1) There is NO cellphone reception. And there is little/no WiFi availability, so plan accordingly! Download whatever maps you might need beforehand, and get any work you need done squared away. There IS a landline at the ranch, and driving to reception is inconvenient but is possible. 2) There ARE facilities at the ranch. Electricity, running water, etc. Think glamping, so don't worry about bringing too much. 3) IF you are staying at a room at the ranch (we'll let you know) bedding is provided, so you don't need to pack a sleeping bag etc. IF you are staying in the TePees at the ranch you will need to bring sleeping bags and pads and towels etc. You will have access to the ranch facilities for cooking, bathrooms, etc, so still no need to pack too much. If you are staying at the Ranch in an RV/ camping trailer please contact Elyse ahead of time as there is a $40/night charger per camper.
Casual. Think Bilbo Baggins’ Shire birthday party. This is an outdoor afternoon wedding, so wear whatever makes you feel the most beautiful/handsome and comfortable. Also please bring a warm jacket/ change of clothes for the evening as it will get cold when the sun goes down. That being said, we are expecting any, and all kinds of weather so please be prepared for things like rain or even snow (hopefully not) bring something warm to change into, and please wear appropriate footwear. Ladies- flats are encouraged as the festivities will take place on grass, gravel, and dirt. #idahothings.
Please check the travel tab for places to stay. That being said, this is a camping optional wedding. (we highly suggest staying at/ camping near by if you plan on drinking.) There are some TePees with a limited number of cots if you'd like to crash just please bring bedding and a towel since those items will not be provided. Space is limited so please reach out to Elyse ahead of time to coordinate.
