Our Story

Ryan and I met in 2018 through a mutual friend and we hit it off immediately. After our first couple dates, it was clear we were meant to be; sharing a love for sports, food, animals and most importantly, family! Ever since, we have been taking on this crazy life together and are so excited to create a million more memories as husband and wife!

The Engagement!

12/13/2019

It was my birthday weekend and Ryan had made reservations for a nice dinner out for just the two of us to celebrate. Little did I know, he had a little more up his sleeve than I anticipated. While I was upstairs getting ready for dinner, Ryan mysteriously disappeared for a bit and then was acting somewhat odd by checking in on when I'd be ready and asking what I was going to wear (things he usually doesn't do) . But regardless, I decided to not think too much of it. As I came down the stairs shortly after to leave for dinner, Ryan had a big smile on his face and asked if I wanted to open an early birthday present. I, of course without hesitation, said yes and he went over to the Christmas tree and pulled out a jewelry stand from behind it. I was so excited because this was something I had been asking to get for some time. As I lifted open the top section of the jewelry stand, I was surprised, ecstatic & overtaken with emotion to see a beautiful engagement ring and Ryan bent down on one knee. I can't remember much of what Ryan said but there was zero hesitation to my response to marrying him. And just like that... we were ENGAGED!!! I think we both stood in shock for a minute or so with the biggest smiles on our faces and then finally left for our dinner reservation. When I finally was able to breathe again, I immediately reached for my phone to call my family during the drive. However, Ryan played it cool and suggested getting through dinner and enjoying the time together before we are completely distracted by calling and texting people with our news for the rest of the night. I wasn't thrilled with his suggestion, but he was right (yes, I said that) and I agreed nonetheless. When we arrived to dinner, the hostess walked us into what looked like a private room and to my surprise again, Ryan had our family waiting there to celebrate with us! Queue the tears! It was such a special night for us both and one that we will never forget!
