Elvis' dating profile was the first one Marilyn saw that made her laugh. He was dressed in a panda onesie for Halloween, and had a huge smile on his face. Her first thought was: "any adult man who can wear a silly panda costume and still be confident in himself is someone I want to get to know!" She clicked on his profile, sent a message, and the story began there. Less than a month later, Elvis made the trip from Calgary to Spokane to meet Marilyn, and they spend the weekend going on picnics, talking, walking, going to church, eating ice cream and laughing. Elvis knew then that this was who he wanted to marry- Marilyn took a bit more time. They continued talking and then made their relationship official, spend more time in person, on the phone, with each others' friends and families', and Marilyn fell head over heels in love. Elvis proposed on February 14 at the spot of their first date. After the wedding, they plan to remain in the area.
