We met at UCF in one of our classes. Dominic had an extra textbook and offered it to me, then casually suggested we study together. I said yes, thinking it would be just a simple study group. But the truth is, that small moment ended up changing everything. We didn’t fall in love instantly. It happened little by little... over late-night conversations, shared meals, and quiet moments that somehow said more than words. I started to realize that being around him felt different. It felt safe. Easy. Like I could finally exhale. Dominic has this calm, steady energy that grounds me. He listens without rushing to fix. He makes space for all of me — even the parts I didn’t think anyone would ever really understand. And while he might say I brought the spark, he’s the one who taught me what it means to be fully known and still deeply loved. There were seasons where we questioned if the timing was right. Not because the love wasn’t real, but because we both cared so deeply about getting it right. We’re thinkers (and overthinkers), and we’ve always wanted our foundation to be solid. We didn’t just want a beautiful wedding. We wanted a beautiful marriage. So we took our time. We wrestled through hard conversations, made space for growth, and kept choosing each other even when the answers weren’t clear. It wasn’t always easy, but it was always worth it. We’ve spent the last seven years choosing each other through growth, change, joy, and everything in between. And while the road wasn’t always straightforward, the love has always been certain. Every day, we’ve shown up, leaned in, and built something that already feels like forever. So this isn’t the beginning of our love story. It’s the celebration of it. A new chapter, sealed with vows, surrounded by the people we love, and filled with the same choice we’ve made every single day: each other. With love, Elvira & Dominic 🖤
