We recommend you head to Michigan on the 16th or 17th of October depending on your own schedule. There will be a welcome party on the 17th, but there is no pressure to attend if you're working with a tight schedule. You're welcome to stay in the area a few extra days, but following the reception there will be no more big events to attend. Feel free to fly out Sunday the 19th.
If you are attending the ceremony, it will be in a very (very) small Catholic church so please dress respectfully to that. The reception dress code is formal, we'd recommend a nice suit or an elegant dress, maxi length is preferred. Also make sure to check forecasts before making a final decision! There is no set color scheme for the wedding, but with the later season and vibe were going for, darker neutrals would work great, and don't shy away from wearing black! Michigan autumn weather is a total shot in the dark. Some years its warmer and some years its cold and rainy. We'd recommend keeping an eye on the forecasts leading up to the event. Not to worry though, both ceremony and reception will be indoors.
This is not a child friendly wedding, sorry. :)
Of course. Were planning to have a few specialty cocktails that we both love, and then simple mixed drinks, wine, beers, etc. will be available. We ask that if you are ordering a mixed drink to keep it simple so we make it easier on the Blue Cow staff
Please refrain from brining your phone into the ceremony. We'll have photographers capturing the moment and would prefer you observe and enjoy the ceremony in the moment.
