It all started with a question. No, not "Would you like to go out sometime?" but "Is there any evidence that Roman agricultural treatises were ever implemented in reality?" Romantic, we know. Yet, that thrilling question, which Elspeth asked during Nathan's senior history thesis defense, led to a conversation about the Roman architect Vitruvius, which did lead to an offer of coffee. We had known of each other for years, and as it turned out, our mutual friends were right: the other person WAS pretty stellar! And then........ Nathan moved to New Zealand. However, where there is a will, there's a way, and slowly a friendship formed, cultivated by letters and occasional Skype chats. Despite Elspeth moving to Oxford, that friendship turned into a relationship. Seven months of long distance built the groundwork for something truly beautiful; it was only a couple of months after meeting in person as a couple that we decided we wanted to face the future together. And now, here we are, ready to press into whatever God has for us as husband and wife. We are so excited to get married and look forward to celebrating with you!
