We're Getting Married

Sometimes love shows up when you’re least expecting it, between sets, sweat, and a simple decision to say hello. Our story began at the gym. Elsie had gone with a close girlfriend to prep for an upcoming trip, focused and in her own world. Dre was there too, working out with a friend he had just started training with. From across the room, they noticed each other, quiet glances, nothing more. Or so it seemed. What Elsie didn’t know was that Dre had noticed her right away. He wanted to approach her but didn’t want to interrupt her workout. So instead, he waited. As Elsie was leaving, Dre followed behind just enough to catch her outside. With a little courage and perfect timing, he asked for her number. They exchanged numbers and went their separate ways. Elsie didn’t think much would come of it. She assumed he was probably younger, something she was all too used to and didn’t read too much into it. But the very next day, Dre texted her, asking her out on a date. To her surprise (and delight), he was older and clearly intentional. After a few days of texting, Dre officially committed to taking Elsie out. That first date marked the beginning of something undeniable. What started as a simple gym encounter quickly turned into meaningful conversations, laughter, and a deep connection neither of them could ignore. From that moment on, it was history. What began with a shared space and a bold step forward turned into a love story. Sometimes, forever starts with just going to the gym (lol).
