We met through mutual friends at UW-La Crosse in 2016, however, we fell in love on the dance floor of Legends in 2017. Brad was going to school for physics and Maddie was going to school for psychology. Brad transferred to UW-Milwaukee in Fall of 2017 to continue his dual-degree program in engineering. During this time we realized that we couldn't live without each other and started dating in January, 2018. We did long distance until Maddie moved to Milwaukee to pursue a career in occupational therapy at UW-Milwaukee. We moved in together in Fall of 2019 and got our sweet baby Nova girl in Spring of 2020. After Maddie graduated, we moved out of downtown and bought our first house together in Spring of 2022.

We went on a trip to Rivera Maya, Mexico in August 2023 with Brads side of the family. The group would go to the beach most nights before dinner. On this night it was a smaller group at the beach, just Brad, Maddie, Sam (Brads sister), and Jenna (Brads cousin). We went to take some pictures down by the water. Maddie turned around to fix her hair and when she turned back, Brad was on his knee and asked her to marry him. It was perfect!
