See You Soon!

We hope you will join us for this celebration of our exciting new chapter together. We are thrilled to be getting married in Philadelphia, and look forward to sharing our city with you!

Our First Date

After chatting for a few days, our first date was set - Thursday, March 30, 2023. We were pumped to meet for sushi, but two days before, after another evening of busy text chatter, "soo, what are you up to tonight?" led to a spontaneous, wonderful date at what would quickly become one of our go-to spots in Phoenix, Postino Wine Bar. Don't worry, we still made it to Sushiholic on Thursday (and again, and again, and again).

What We Are Up To

We have settled in to a gorgeous South Philly neighborhood in Easy Passyunk. We enjoy the community of the walkable neighborhood and the proximity to our daily errands and activities, in addition to a dangerous amount of stellar restaurants and bars. Our whole fam loves to soak up the warm weather on our deck and growing garden, including a fruiting fig tree. Kiska mostly spends her outdoors time protecting us from squirrels. We're doing our best to embrace Philly sports fandom (up next on the docket: Eagles tailgate??) Elsa is pursuing a new career in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She will complete her degree in late 2027. Dylan is a Senior Technical Program Manager at Microsoft.

Our Engagement

Dylan proposed on February 7, 2026. We planned a quiet cabin getaway in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains, PA, and cozy it was! The -30 wind chill didn't keep us out of the hot tub entirely, but we were grateful for a strong wood stove to stay warm. Dylan snuck out from bed early Saturday morning to set up the proposal. The planned speech immediately dissolved into giddy laughter, and it took a minute or two before he remembered to get down on one knee and actually pop the question! Then, we continued our cozy celebration with games, movies, and a few great meals.
