Elsa knew she would be friends with Schai the moment they met… during Schai’s interview for Applebee’s in 2008. Most people would be skeptical by a stranger stating how much they would like working somewhere especially after said stranger declared they would be best friends. Not Schai though, she just rolled with it. 16 years, many many adventures, tattoos and address changes later, their love for each other has only grown stronger.

Some relationships are a slow burn. Melanie and Elsa met when her aunt married Elsa’s dad. Maybe it was the mojitos or the thick Miami humidity, but it was not the warm and fuzzies at first sight. It wasn’t until a year later when Elsa moved to Atlanta, they started developing a sisterly bond, celebrating their August birthdays together and blowing up hams. They even had boys the same year, ensuring they’d be close cousins too. Forever family.

Brothers are your first friend and your biggest ally. Daniel and Alex are no exception! Even though Alex is the older brother, they are often mistaken for each other. Daniel greatly admires and loves his brother and couldn’t think of anyone better to stand next to him on his big day!

Cedric and Daniel met in 2015 at The Cheesecake Factory. They became good friend and eventually roommates. They are more like family than friends, both always welcomed at the other’s families for all holidays.

Since Cruz already considers Daniel family and a pretty awesome Bonus Dad, this is just a formality to him. He is more excited about the mocktails than he is about wearing a suit. Daniel and Cruz have been in cahoots, plotting against Elsa since they first met. One of Daniel’s favorite memories of Cruz is the time he made everyone watch Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs two times in a row.

Sometimes your boss is just your boss and you keep a level of professionalism with them… sometimes your boss is Alex, there are no boundaries and they become your mentor, friend and family. You take family vacations together and have cuddle puddles. Alex is a great motivational speaker often known for inspiring greatness and moving people to tears. You never know what he’s going to say so we can’t for him to marry us.
