Travel Note

Getting there

East Burke is tucked into Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, a beautiful but rural part of the state. The closest major airports are Burlington International Airport (about 2 hours away) and Manchester–Boston Regional Airport (about 2.5 hours away). Both airports offer rental cars and regular service from major U.S. cities. If you’re traveling from the Northeast—especially Boston, New York, or elsewhere in New England—you may find it easiest to drive. The trip is scenic and straightforward, and we encourage guests to carpool when possible. Parking will be available on site for all guests who choose to drive.

Travel Note

Accommodations

Because Burke is a small, rural town, accommodations in the immediate area are limited. We have reserved room blocks at two nearby inns, both located on the same road as our venue, The Inn at Burklyn, making them the most convenient places to stay for the weekend. To reserve a room at either inn, please call the property directly and mention that you are booking under the Valk Wedding. Reservations must be made by April 17.
