We met online and talked for a short while before meeting in person at Buffalo Chip. I remember seeing him for the first time and thinking, oh no… he’s the most handsome man I’ve ever seen. And somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought I might have just met my future husband. I didn’t tell him that part, of course. We dove deep into discovering each other and then quickly found ourselves spending more and more time together. I realized I loved him in the middle of an Arizona summer — which, if you know, you know. When we first started talking, I knew she was different. She was sweet, kind, and had this innocence about her that drew me in immediately. Meeting her in person only confirmed it. Somewhere along the way, I started noticing something: I was spending more time at her place than my own. It wasn’t planned. It just felt right. Being with her felt easy. Natural. Like home. Surrounded by family, standing on a rooftop as fireworks filled the sky, right as the clock struck midnight, he asked me to marry him.
