Shady Grove
This is our favorite place! While we could easily recommend the entire menu, our must haves are the pierogi pizza, sweet potato tatter tots, french dip sandwich, and spinach artichoke dip! To no surprise, Jake likes to end his meals here with the Milk & Cookie dessert.
Proper Brick Oven & Tap Room
One of Macie's (and friends) favorites! We can't say enough great things about their oven-fired pizza, pasta, and drink menu. This is very much a *must go* place.
Strip District
Head to the Strip District on Saturday or Sunday morning to visit local vendor stands and tourist shops! This is a must visit for us when we're in town. Our normal stops are the Kitchen Store, Pittsburgh Popcorn, and Rolands for a Mimosa.
Federal Galley
This is a new favorite for us. It's a food hall-style venue with a handful of local eateries and a bar! Great for something quick and to satisfy a lot of different palates.
Primanti Bros. Restaurant and Bar Strip District
Located in the Strip (and various other locations around town), Primanti's is an iconic stop while in the city!
University of Pittsburgh
University of Pittsburgh is a beautiful campus to walk around in the Spring. If you're on campus, we love to look at the first floor of the Cathedral of Learning and (if it's open) Heinz Chapel!
PNC Park
PNC Park offers guided tours of the stadium. Jake & Macie both worked at the stadium during college (so did a handful of the wedding party)! The stadium is right across the street from the hotels where we have reserved room blocks.
Heinz Field
A short walk from the hotels, Heinz Field - home to the Steelers and University of Pittsburgh - offers guided tours of the facility. Jake worked at the stadium in college!
