Emilie and Amanda met in their U.S. History class during their sophomore year of high school. When they realized that they only lived two minutes away from each other, they began riding to school together and developed their friendship. They are now best friends, roommates, and cat owners to their gorgeous gorgonzola.

Conner has been David's other best friend as long Schaeffer has. It is impossible to overestimate the amount of history they have. Very few can rightly claim to have taken part in "Nelson and Friends", Conner and David's acting and directorial debut.

Autumn is not only Emilie’s cousin, but she, and her sister Bella, were her childhood best friends. Autumn has been a great friend and role model throughout Emilie's life. Watch out for her on the dance floor, she was the champion of every Just Dance competition growing up!

Mike is David's youngest sibling and only brother. He has survived relentless abuse at the hands of his eldest sibling and has come out a great basketball player and a great brother. He may not ever be able to guard David, but David is incredibly proud of him, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a closer pair of brothers.

Emilie and Megan have grown up in church together and have known each other throughout the majority of their lives. Megan has always been there through the ups and downs of the brides life, and has always stuck by her side. She is an extraordinary friend, baker, and dog mom to Ryker.
