Our Story

As many of you know, our love story began long before our first official date in December 2020. It’s a story built on friendship, faith, laughter, and resilience — one that has stood the test of time through loss, distance, and countless memories together. Our journey began back in seventh grade, when Trent transferred from Cornerstone Christian Academy to East Middle School. Dressed sharply in khakis, a collared shirt, and dress shoes on his first day, it was clear to everyone — especially Megan — that he was the new kid. What started as two talkative classmates bonding over “no homework” days and missile miles quickly turned into a sweet middle school crush. Their very first “trial run” at dating didn’t last long (Trent ended things, for the record!), but their friendship remained strong. Even after attending rival high schools, Megan and Trent never lost touch. Then, years later, during the quiet months of 2020, Megan reached out — and everything changed. Texts turned into long conversations, socially-distanced dates in the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot, and eventually, meeting each other’s families. On New Year’s Eve, Trent officially asked Megan to be his girlfriend, marking the start of their second — and final — chapter together. That first year brought both challenges and incredible joy, but through it all, they leaned on each other. From ice cream dates and prom nights to cheering one another on in their sports, their connection deepened. After high school, Trent pursued baseball and communications at Lindsey Wilson and later Spalding University, while Megan began her nursing journey at the University of Kentucky. Despite the distance, their love only grew stronger. Megan graduated with her Bachelor’s in Nursing in December 2025, and Trent earned his degree in Communications in December 2025 as well! Over the years, they’ve shared countless laughs, late-night calls, and heartfelt prayers. Through every season — the good and the hard — their love has continued to grow. Then, right before graduation and nearly five years together, Trent asked Megan to marry him during a family trip to Los Cabos. With the sun setting over the ocean, waves crashing nearby, and both families watching, it was the perfect start to their forever. Now, as they prepare to celebrate this next chapter, Trent and Megan feel nothing but gratitude. Each person invited to their wedding holds a special place in their hearts — you’ve been part of their journey in one way or another, shaping the people they’ve become and the love they share. They cannot wait to celebrate their special day surrounded by their favorite people — family and friends who have cheered them on every step of the way. With love, Trent & Megan
