Nick met Jack in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Nick was 18 and alone in a strange place, staying in a $14/night hostel google reviews describes as "like a prison" Jack and Nick became quick friends over our mutual love of travel, pints, and good banter, staying in touch with many trips back and forth from Canada, England, Ireland, New York, and New Zealand.

From coworkers, to roommates, to life long friends. Stephanie is a close confidant that has seen the best (and worst) of Ellise -- and embraced it all! You know those friends that you are just 100% yourself around? That's Steph. This day would not be the same without her!

Adam is one of Nick's oldest friends, they met in high school and quickly bonded over faux hawks and black t shirts and going to the Brunswick House. The Brunswick house was turned into a Shoppers Drugmart which seems fitting. Adam is one of the hardest working people I've ever met, and the fact that we both run small businesses gives us a unique shared experience.

A friendship that blossomed in a stressful work environment! Trauma bonding some would call it -- we call it love. Janelle is hands down the smartest individual Ellise has been lucky enough to call friend. Having her stand with us and give her blessing, means the world.
Brandon Samuel

Brandon and Nick met at a music festival in Montreal. I think he has more people that consider him his best friend than he even knows, he's the most likeable person I've ever met. When I opened Dumbo Snack Bar, Brandon was the first person I called to ask for help, although his wife Becca will tell you she did all the work (she might have) We spend an inappropriate amount of time together at festivals, cottages, and vacations and he's still the person I call when I'm in over my head.

Friend first, realtor second -- Stacy was an easy choice to have stand with Ellise for this big day. Stacy is the perfect combination of love and tenacity, and has been one of Ellise's closest friends through these years in Toronto. Since being a part of Stacy's wedding in 2023, it is something special to trade roles for this love fest.
Evan Peach

Evan is my younger brother. Growing up he was (and still is) the inspiration for many of the characters in my stories, he will say things equally brilliant and absurd that I often find myself writing down. He's a natural story teller with a great memory and when you spot him at the wedding it will most likely be mid-way through a tale about our family so grab a snack and prepare to be entertained.

Fun fact Alicia was the first person asked to be in the wedding party -- months before Nick even popped the question. Ellise had a suspicion the day was coming up. A few cocktails deep, she phoned the friend she knew was least likely to call her crazy for thinking it. By the end of the convo, we had our first bridal party member.
Sergey Trunov

Sergey and Nick have been friends since high school, but like the rest of the guys our relationship has become stronger and more unique as we've become, for lack of a better term, more mature. We've spent time together on trips to Palm Springs, Mexico, the cottage, and golfing across Ontario, he's always ready with some block rocking house music at 7 am whether you think you need it or not. He's a loyal friend, a great father, and hits left which really helps mix up the batting order.

After a bachelorette weekend away in Nashville a fast friendship was formed between Adrian and Ellise. Beers were drank, songs were song, Adrian found a cat in the bar. You will never meet someone with a more fierce personality, in such a small, well dressed package.

Some friendships are born in battle, others in tragedy, ours took place in the sky. I mean, not exactly, we'd already been close friends for nearly a decade, but when you jump out of an airplane at 15,000 feet together something just changes. Simon has a mix of kindness and authority to his speech, whether it's settling disputes on a podcast, cheering on his team during a cottage relay race, or officiating a union, he's your (our) man.

The first of Nick's friends Ellise got to meet! During the short intro every question about Ellise's life story was asked and hugs were had. That is the type of person Sheena is. To know her, is to be instant friends.

They say it's hard for men to make friends later in life. Boy were they wrong! I met Spencer in Mexico just a few years ago and we instantly bonded. Watching him spend months working abroad with his partner Victoria gave me a sense of what true relationship goals look like; support, laughter, and trust. I had the honour of preforming the officiating duties for Spencer and Victoria last year, and celebrating his bachelor party in Munich, which is how I know he's going to be an absolute menace on mine. I'm happy we've become so close in such a short time.

The youngest of Nick and Ellise's friend group, yet somehow the most mature. Becca is someone that takes care of everyone else before herself... until Tequila Becs comes out. Then god help us and you are on your own. But seriously, this wedding day would not be complete without Becca.

If you asked me who I'd take on a journey to Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring, I'd say Gandalf, but a close second would be Trevor. He's a man with a plan, whether it's coaching our way to two Sunday night mixed softball championships, organizing incredible charity golf tournaments, or keeping everyone alive on a bachelor party. Wait, what? seriously, the man may never lose again when screaming "17!" at a roulette dealer.

Although Nick skipped her wedding day, Jordan has graciously agreed to be a part of ours. In Ellise's humble opinion, Jordan will always be the coolest person in the room. The style and energy she brings to life is unmatched and forever appreciated.

Tyler is my older brother, someone I look up to figuratively and literally. We talk pretty much daily, often about nothing at all, just a conversation that has been going on for 30ish years, he's the most reliable person ever. Don't let his stoic demeanour fool you, put a couple of bud light limes in his hand and you better make some room on the dance floor.
