Flight
The main airport is Pafos International Airport (PFO). The main airlines flying into Pafos (or Paphos in English) are Ryanair, EasyJet, Jet2, and TUI. Top tip: flights are usually cheapest to book on 1st January for the same year, and prices often rise after that to appear discounted in the January sales. Flight-only options are typically released 12 months in advance, while packages can be available 18–24 months ahead. We recommend checking the January sales for the best package holiday deals.
Rental Car
They drive on the left in Cyprus, and hiring a car is straightforward—it makes getting around so much easier! We rented a car during our trip in April 2025. We actually booked a package holiday with Jet2 and swapped our transfers for a car, which cost just £50 for 5 days. If you do this, we strongly recommend going FULLY comprehensive (around €120–150 extra). It’s worth it, as any damage is covered—and without it, rental companies will try their luck! Petrol is very cheap; it cost us only £8 to refill the tank on return. Parking was easy and accessible everywhere we went. There are also plenty of car hire options available directly at the airport.
Travel Note
They use ‘Bolt’ in Paphos instead of Uber. It’s relatively easy to get a taxi—you can book transport to and from the airport on arrival, as well as use it to get around the island. There is also another app called 'CABCY'.

We’ve done some searching to help you find the best places to stay. The wedding venue is located between Coral Bay (great for villas) and Paphos City/Harbour (ideal for hotels). Recommended Hotels (based on wedding forum suggestions): Amavi – Made for Two (5★, B&B–FB) Alexander the Great (4★, B&B–FB) Almyra Hotel (5★, B&B–FB) Annabelle (5★, B&B–FB) Atlantica Mare or Mare Hotel (5★, All-Inclusive) Sofianna Resort & Spa (4★ B&B–All-Inclusive) Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort (4★ All-Inclusive) Mayfair Gardens (3★, All-Inclusive) Queens Bay Hotel (4★, B&B–All-Inclusive) – We stayed here. It’s a nice hotel with great views, but it’s more suited to an older crowd. A little out of the way, though taxis are easy to get. Most recommended for families: Sofianna Resort & Spa, Mayfair Gardens, and Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort.

Coral Bay is a great area for villas. It has its own modern strip of bars and restaurants, so you don’t need to venture into Paphos Town unless you want to. Villas can also be very good value, especially if you’re sharing. Of course, there are plenty of accommodation options. We also recommend using Booking.com, as it offers a wide range of reasonably priced apartments to choose from. We’ve also booked many of our holidays in the past through an independent travel agent, who can arrange not only your accommodation but also airport transfers and excursions. If you’d like to go this route, reach out to Scott at Scott@markbrattravel.com We suggest letting him know your travel dates, party size, accommodation preferences, and budget—he’ll then provide you with options tailored to your needs.
