We Eloped! 05.10.2025

We met at a mutual friend's going away party in 2017. I (Chandler) approached Taylor at the bar, while quickly thinking of a clever way to start a conversation. Pointing out the beverage dispenser Taylor was using, I asked "is that iced tea or Jameson?" I felt so brave. Well, for those of you who know Taylor, it's easy to picture his famous non-bothered, dazed facial expression. Fast forward the next day, Taylor reached out on Facebook and that's how a now eight year relationship blossomed. We talked on the phone every day for three weeks before we had our first date at the movies. A month later, we made it official. Within the first year, we moved in together and adopted our devoted and happy Goldendoodle, Opie. On September 16th, 2023, Taylor proposed at the 11th hole on the Bear Creek Golf Course in Murrieta where his dad and stepmom reside. Being together for eight years has taught us how to be a solid team; to learn how to be patient and put in the hard work that will lead to a healthy, faithful marriage. We have grown tremendously over the years. Blending our friends and families is very important to us, who by the way have been our biggest support group throughout these years. Special shoutout to Christine (Chandler’s mom) and Darrell (Taylor's dad) for the understanding and continuous advice on relationships and life. We ultimately made the decision to elope in Hawaii with family and we are so excited to share an intimate moment with those that have supported every chapter in our journey. But obviously, we need to celebrate with all of the people we love! (Yeah, you!) So, enough of this sappy stuff; let's go party! Taylor and I cannot wait to celebrate with all of you.
