Flight
We recommend Hawaiian, Alaska, United or SouthWest Airlines to get to Maui. If enough people fly Hawaiian, I can get a discount code for everyone. It's about a 45 min to 1 hour drive from the airport to Western Maui. There are many great places to stop along the way. All beaches are public, so just pull over wherever and enjoy.
Hotel
We recommend you stay at least one night (wedding night) or more at the Ritz. We will be staying there from Thursday, 4/14 to Sunday, 4/17 (3 nights).
House Or Rental
The wedding and other events will be held in Western Maui. We recommend you stay somewhere between Kaanapali and Kapalua. The closer to Kapalua (Ritz Carlton) and Kahana (Our condo), the better. There are many cute towns along Lower Honoapiilani Road. Any would work. Our condo is in Kahana (Sand of Kahana). If you plan to stay for an extended time, please stay there or in a close by town so we can party with you before or after the wedding. Names of towns that work are: Honokowai, Kahana, Napili, Kapalua, Kaanapali. My Perfect Stays is our property management company on Maui. We'd be happy to hook you up with them directly to rent a condo. All of the other usual travel sites will also be a good way to find a condo. You might have to pay an additional fee though.
Rental Car
All of the major rental car companies are on-island. You simply take a shuttle from the OGG airport to your favorite rental car place. This is the most convenient way to go. Uber is available on-island. You can take an Uber directly to your hotel or condo or to a rental car facility in another area of the island (ex. Kihei). You will likely find a better deal on a rental car outside of the airport, but not sure if it's worth the hassle.
Travel Note
Uber is readily available on-island.
