Depending on where you live, driving may be the best option, though your mileage may vary (lol). Huntington is right along 64. We do have a small airport, Tri-State Regional, though you may want to compare prices with Charleston's Yeager Airport nearby. Huntington is also on the Cardinal line of Amtrak, though service is limited to every other day.
This is where coming with your own vehicle, renting a car, or carpooling really comes into play. Uber/Lyft is available in WV but isn't the most reliable as there aren't many drivers. There is a bus in town, which is affordable and runs to most downtown and Barboursville locations. To get to the ceremony and reception itself by bus, you'll take Bus Route 6 and stop at the corner of Piedmont Rd and Vernon St (the first cross street after Camden Corner on your right). The venue is a few blocks down at the end of Vernon Street. If you'd like to arrange a carpool with another guest, reach out to us and we can help set one up.
The venue is on the West End of Huntington just beyond Camden Corner. If you reach Westmoreland, you've gone too far! The address is 1040 Vernon St and is only a few minutes from the city center. There are two entrances, and the wedding one will be decorated with signs and has a short flight of steps. There is also a ground level entrance if you have a wheelchair, mobility devices, or other accessibility needs.
Parking is available behind the venue on the left for folks needing a wheelchair or mobility device-accessible entrance and beyond the train tracks on the right elsewise. There are also a limited number of spaces at the park across the street.
Sure! The DoubleTree downtown is fantastic. If you'd like alternatives, please email Elliott or Lenny for ones to try (and ones to avoid).
Short answer: a costume, baby! Long answer: Wear whatever you feel comfortable in. We realize that having a strict dress code isn't conducive to having loved ones with various gender expressions and body types. Since the wedding is in prime spooky season, feel free to dress up in your favorite rock n roll costume or outfit! Just don't dress cuter than Elliott.
There will be a place to indicate that on the RSVP page. Feel free to email us at lennyandelliottswedding2025@gmail.com if you have any questions.
We'll be having a taco bar with chicken, beef, and vegan options, as well as some chicken tenders for the kiddos. Plenty of drinks both of the booze and non-booze varieties.
Our Honeyfund site is linked above. We have a kitchen full of stuff and wanted to prioritize experiences instead, so we created our registry to reflect that. You can contribute to a general fund or purchase specific experiences.
I mean, we aren't going to stop you! Like Elliott's grandma always says, "You can never have too many dish towels." We have a small Amazon registry you can find here: https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/lennyandelliott2025
You bet! We're having an afterparty at Bar None Sports Tavern (335 14th St). Details TBA. Just as an FYI, Bar None has a "no men's sleeveless shirts" rule, which means Elliott tragically cannot show off his sick pythons.
100%! We want to make our wedding accessible to our fellow parent friends. We'll have a fun activity table for the littles at the reception. Please indicate how many folks you'll be bringing of the ankle-biting and non-ankle-biting persuasion on the RSVP website when you confirm. Just no kiddos at the after party, as there will be no Bluey on at the dive bar.
Sure! It's #TookYaLongEnough, which is what everyone said when we got together.
