We are so thrilled we were able to get married on January 23, 2021. We look forward to celebrating with all of you—our favorite people—to dance the night away on November 6th, 2021. Elliott and Dylan originally met at SMU (Pony Up!) 8 years ago. An inauspicious beginning—something to do with a roller rink and margaritas. No spark…yet. Slow-Forward to that special night. She asked him to her sorority formal. They went to a pre party at Hotel NYLO overlooking beautiful downtown Dallas. Got interested, shared some ideas, and some queso. Maybe even a beso. They danced. Someone said they sang. The night sparkled with good vibrations. But wait—Dylanderella had to leave the Ball early—he’d promised a ride to a friend. What’s a girl to do? Well, call him, of course. Elliott got his number from Facebook (so old school) the very next day. They bantered back and forth, batted their eyelashes and flirted. Courting and sparking. Soon they were “seeing” each other, bonding over Mexican food and basketball. Go Mavs! Things moved right along. Dylan asked her to be his GF at a One Republic concert. He “got all the right moves in all the right places” as it were. In May, 2017, they moved in together sharing a charming apartment in Uptown. Then they got the Princess of All Dogs—sweet Penelope. Adorable and adored. Their careers in Accounting and Finance progressed; Elliott changed companies; Dylan got promoted. They traveled to Orlando, New Orleans, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Austin—and finally to Santa Fe where Dylan popped the Big Question!

Dylan went into Stealth Mode trying to surprise Elliott with a perfect ring and the perfect proposal. A lot of pressure. After all, she’s a planner, she’s organized, she’s a CPA for God’s sake. This woman is hard to fool. Dylan held his breath going through TSA with that ring burning a hole in his pocket. After a romantic dinner at Geronimo in Santa Fe, and admiring the southwestern art and history, our man got down on one knee in the Plaza and… asked. Elliott was so overwhelmed and happy that she couldn’t speak—a big surprise in itself. We all know what her answer was! Mission accomplished. In August, 2020, the happy couple moved from Big D to Denver to start their new life. Congratulations and joy. Peace and hope on Earth in 2021.
