We met during a CNA (certified nursing assistant) class we took for a new job we were starting. Through all the laughter, inside jokes, and hard work the whole class became very close. It wasn't until much . . . much later that we began our journey together. Through much encouragement and obvious suggestion from co-workers (thanks guys - you know who you are), we had our first date at Wimpey and Dee's on January 6th, 2018. It wasn't until February 18th, 2018 that we became a couple, and it's been a party ever since.
We were engaged on June 9th, 2019 at Longwood Gardens. We have both loved going to Longwood throughout our entire relationship, so Elliott thought this would be the perfect place to propose - he was right. After waiting for it to be empty, and scoping out the inside, Elliott proposed in one of the tree-houses that overlooks the lake. Neither one of us could stop smiling through the heat and humidity.
We love to bond over puzzles, board games, long walks, bike rides, trips to the gym, trips to Longwood Gardens, any road-trip basically, Dunkin' runs, watching movies, stand-up paddle boarding, cooking, baking, and basically everything else we do together. We just love spending time together, and enjoy joining in with our families.
After many talks, prayers, and thoughtful nights Elliott and Emily decided that with the unknown future of the virus and the uncertainty on whether we would be able to travel come May 2021 to get married in December, shortly after buying our house. We had one parent from each side sign our marriage certificate, we signed, and then we celebrated by going to dinner - just the two of us. We still plan on going to Hawaii in May, and we would love to see everyone at our reception in June!
