FAQs

Question

When and where are the wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be on July 24, 2026, at the Black Iris Estate.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’d love for our guests to use our wedding as a chance to dress up! Formal attire is encouraged — not necessarily black tie, but definitely dressy. We also kindly ask that guests avoid white or black gowns, as those are reserved for the bridal party. Bright colors and florals are perfect for the celebration! Thank you for helping us make the day feel festive.

Question

Is the ceremony/reception outside?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors, but we’ll have assistance available for anyone who may need help getting to the ceremony space. Cocktail hour will be a mix of indoor and outdoor areas, and the reception will be entirely indoors.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re so excited you’ll be joining us! To keep our celebration intimate, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding — we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your little ones, but to keep our wedding an adults-focused celebration, only children in the bridal party or those specifically named on the invitation will be attending. We hope you understand and are so excited to celebrate with you!

Question

Where can I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a hotel block at the Courtyard by Marriott. There are a limited number of rooms so please book at your earliest convenience. If all rooms are full there are plenty of hotel options at a similar distance to the venue. Please note that room prices may go up closer to the event as our wedding weekend is the same weekend as the Brickyard 400 and there will be more people in Indianapolis than usual!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you and can’t wait to see all your smiling faces! To help us capture the ceremony beautifully, we kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras put away during this time. We’ve invested in professional photography, and an unplugged ceremony allows our photographer to capture every moment without distractions. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos as you’d like—we’d love to see the day through your eyes, too!
