Question

What should I wear?

Answer

There are two different dress codes! So please dress for whichever you feel more comfortable in! The first is dressing as if you are going to a Renaissance Faire! Think of it as a royal gathering at a court, a festival in the village, or a knights feast in the hall! This includes rich fabrics such as velvet, brocade, lace, linen, or cotton. Jewel tones, earthy hues, and metallic accents. Should you decide to, white is also an acceptable color in context of detailing, accents, or even for your tunic! Accessories like cloaks, belts, corsets, crowns, circlets, and jewelry add to the magic. For footwear, wear something comfortable! There is cobblestone within the venue, so please do not wear heels if you are not confident in them. The second is for those of you who do not want to don a doublet or gown, and that's perfectly fine! If you would prefer modern dress, we invite you to wear formal or semi-formal clothing in a style that matches the earthy elegance of the day. For colors please stick to rich jewel tones and earthy hues. Flowing fabrics, subtle florals, and lace details are all welcome! For footwear, wear something comfortable! There is cobblestone within the venue, so please do not wear heels if you are not confident in them. If sneakers are what you feel most comfortable in for uneven flooring, please by all means wear them! We would rather you be safe and comfortable on that front rather than potentially falling!

Question

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

It would be lovely if your shoes could stay within dress code, but there will be some cobblestone inside, so if you are not comfortable in heels please do not wear them. If sneakers are what you feel most comfortable in for uneven flooring, please by all means wear them! We would rather you be safe and comfortable on that front rather than potentially falling!

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all of the highlights, and we'll make sure to share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony. During the Reception on the other hand, please feel free to take pictures!
