When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

The RSVP deadline is September 25th and you can RSVP online. Just go to the RSVP page and enter your name.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors. There is a quick walk outside between the ceremony in the chapel and the reception in the Ballroom.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

October in Portland usually sees an average high of 63 degrees and an average low of 48 degrees. With an average of 9 days of rain.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, guests can head over to the Ballroom for the reception. The Ballroom is a short walk from the Chapel.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive a half hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled

Yes parking is free and you can find directions to parking on our “choose your own travel adventure” page.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, your kids are welcome. We just ask that you mark that they will or will not be attending when you RSVP.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Yes there will be dinner and drinks served at the reception. we will have gluten free options

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We ask that you don’t take photos of our ceremony as we have a wonderful photographer to capture that special moment. However, we encourage guests take pictures at the reception and to post pictures on to their social media, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #FinallyACarver so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Will there be a money dance?

Answer

Yes! Please bring some cash for the money dance. The money dance is an event at some wedding receptions in various cultures. During a money dance, guests pay to dance briefly with the bride or groom. *this is not required, do not feel pressured to participate. This is meant to be a fun way for us to connect with our guests.
