I was studying abroad in Paris during my Junior year at Rutgers University. At the same time, Elliot was also studying abroad, but in London. During my stay, I planned a weekend trip to visit a friend in London. She lived in the same dorm building as Elliot, and we all met up before we headed out for the night. With eye liner whiskers drawn on our faces for the local bar's "Cat night", sparks flew between Elliot and I and we had a great time together. I was staying in France for another few months, while he was heading back to the states so we lost touch for about a year. A few months before graduation, we ran into each other again back at Rutgers! A few days later we went out for sushi and we have been quite literally inseparable ever since.
On a walk to dinner, Elliot stopped me and took my hands on a very special street corner in Brooklyn. I had taken a photo of that corner 5 years before when I said I wanted to live there. He told me he wanted to do his part to make that our street. He got down on one knee, said a lot of beautiful things, told me he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with me and asked me to marry him. Through tears I said YES! He had arranged for a photographer to capture the moment and then for our parents to surprise us! It was the best day ever. Until the wedding day of course! We can't wait to celebrate with you!
