The short answer - Charlotte, North Carolina! The actual wedding is taking place in Belmont, NC - a small town just 15 minutes outside of Charlotte proper. The welcome party will be in the "south end" neighborhood of Charlotte.
There are no shuttles to the wedding, but there will be a shuttle provided at the end of the night running between Camelot and the Hampton Inn in Belmont from 8pm -11pm. Take the shuttle to join the after party or to just be in a more convenient spot to grab an uber.
There is a parking lot at the venue! Feel free to drive or if you plan on drinking grab an Uber or Lyft! There should be plenty in the area. There will also be a post-wedding shuttle provided to bring people to the after party at the Hampton Inn in Belmont. (Cars can be left overnight at the venue as long as they are picked up by 9am the next day).
Generally, we would recommend aiming for Saturday afternoon (the 12th). BUT if you get to town earlier than that we are having a casual open house Friday night at our place. Anyone who gets to town early is welcome to attend! Most folks are leaving Monday morning/ midday (reminder Monday the 14th is a federal holiday!)
Please check out the "Travel" tab of our website for our full recommendations. We have two hotel blocks. The Hampton Inn in Belmont is closest to the venue and where the afterparty gathering will happen, so for those reasons we recommend staying there. But the Hyatt Lake Point is more affordable, has an airport shuttle, and is very close to the welcome party.
The welcome party is at a brewery so we recommend upscale casual. For the wedding, cocktail attire is recommended. Also note, there will be cobble stone paths and lawn games in the grass, so for the ladies we discourage stilettos ~or~encourage going barefoot! :)

At the welcome party, dinner will not be served, but there is food available for purchase at the brewery. First round will be on us - every guest will get a drink ticket. Cash bar after. At the wedding, we got you! Open bar, appetizers, and dinner will be served.
