Question
What should I wear?
Answer
We ask that guests wear semi-formal/cocktail attire (e.g. summer dress or light dress pants and button-up). Please keep in mind that the ceremony will be outside, so dress comfortably enough for warmer weather.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The only outdoor/unsheltered portion of the celebration will be the ceremony, which will take place next to the beautiful Bryton Event Barn. This barn is where the rest of the festivities will take place.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
During the dinner and reception, we would love to have your little ones with us to celebrate the big day! However, during the 30-minute ceremony, we do ask that children under 5 years old (or children that may have a difficult time sitting quietly for extended periods of time) stay inside of the event barn during that time. WE WILL HAVE AN EXPERIENCED BABYSITTER AVAILABLE TO WATCH YOUR CHILD DURING THIS TIME. She is a friend of ours studying Elementary Education and is absolutely wonderful. Will there be alcohol served at your wedding?
Answer
The short answer is no, we will not be serving alcohol at our wedding. However, you are welcome to bring your own alcoholic beverages for your of-age group to the reception. Coolers will be available to keep drinks cold. If you do choose this option, please practice relatively moderate drinking behavior (or Ellie will kick your butt).

Can I bring a date?
Answer
As much as we would love to say, "the more, the merrier" to EVERYONE, we are only able to accommodate those addressed in the invitations, as well as special exceptions. If you would like to bring a special, significant person in your life that was not addressed on your invitation, please reach out to us directly. Our contact info can be found below in a later FAQ.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
Let's face it...our wedding is in mid-August. It will be hot outside. We are hoping to negate the warmer temperatures outside by scheduling our outdoor ceremony at 7:30, where temperatures should be a bit cooler. We will also have ice-cold water available at ALL TIMES, as well as favors and desserts that will cooooool you right down. In the case of rain/unfair weather, we will be conducting the ceremony inside the event barn. The barn doors open on both sides of the building, which creates a cooling breeze through the venue.

What will be served at dinner?
Answer
We will be having a taco bar catered for our meal of choice! There will be beef, chicken, beans, and all the fixings, as well as chips and salsa/queso.
