Question

How did we meet?

Answer

How It All Began Our story started on a crisp fall night—October 5th, 2023, to be exact—at a bonfire hosted by our mutual friend. I had no idea that night would change everything. Trayden (yes, he showed up with another girl!) strolled into the glow of the campfire holding... a can of Chef Boyardee ravioli. My friends and I had heard someone else was on their way, so naturally, we decided it was the perfect time for a prank. My friend Remick grabbed a Scream mask from the back of my truck and disappeared into the shadows near the trees. As Trayden walked up, he was friendly and polite, introducing himself and chatting—clearly unaware of the lurking figure just beyond the firelight. Every now and then, he’d glance into the darkness, hearing something but not quite seeing. Finally, the firelight hit the ghostly white mask. Trayden caught sight of it, let out a yell, tossed his can of ravioli into the air, and tripped over a camp chair. And just like that, I had my first impression of him: hilarious, genuine, and definitely memorable. We spent the rest of that night laughing, playing games, and getting to know each other as friends. What followed were hangouts, heart-to-hearts, and spontaneous adventures. Our friendship slowly turned into something deeper, and on November 28th, 2023, we made it official. Since then, we’ve been inseparable—traveling, trying new things, and collecting memories that we’ll treasure forever. Now, as we look forward to saying “I do” on May 31st, 2025, we’re filled with gratitude. We’re so excited to start this new chapter surrounded by friends, family, and so much love. Here’s to the ravioli, the laughter, and a love that only keeps growing.

Question

Trayden's time in Germany

Answer

Trayden served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Germany—a journey that shaped his faith, character, and heart for others. From the moment he arrived, everything felt new—language, culture, people—but he embraced it with humility and purpose. Each day brought challenges: long hours, language barriers, and moments of doubt. But Trayden pressed on, sharing the gospel one doorstep, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time. Through quiet chapel prayers, heartfelt testimonies, and deep study, he found strength in the Spirit and joy in small victories. Germany became more than a place—it became a part of him. He learned to lead with love, to listen with empathy, and to trust God’s timing. His mission wasn’t just about teaching—it was about becoming someone stronger, more compassionate, and deeply rooted in faith. Though his mission ended, the impact lives on. Trayden returned home with more than memories—he brought back purpose, perspective, and a love for serving others. It’s evident in the way he lives, lifts others, and shows up with steady kindness. Now, he’s stepping into a new chapter—marriage to the woman he loves. On May 31st, 2025, Trayden will begin the next great adventure of his life: building a future filled with love, faith, and family, side by side with his best friend.

Question

Ellie's Military path

Answer

Since I was 12, I knew I wanted to join the military. While most kids were unsure of their future, I was drawn to the structure, challenge, and deeper meaning of service. I wanted to travel, do something impactful, get my education paid for, and be part of something bigger than myself. Covid had flipped everything upside down, including my commitment to traditional attendance. In my Junior year of high school, with persistence and a little charm, I convinced my teachers and counselor to let me graduate early. I contacted a recruiter and started the long, difficult enlistment process. Eventually, I shipped off to Fort Sill, Oklahoma—aka “hell’s butthole.” There, I began Basic Combat Training (BCT) and then Advanced Individual Training (AIT). I chose the MOS 13B: Cannon Crewmember. Basically, I drive a Paladin M109 and send 155 rounds flying through the air The learning curve was no joke. It required strength I didn’t know I had, and a level of responsibility that humbled me fast. You're not just pushing buttons—you're calculating, coordinating, and ultimately handling controlled explosions that could change everything in a moment. BCT pushed me emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. I couldn’t have made it without support from home—and the family I found in my battle buddies. Joining the Army shaped who I am and is one of the best decisions I've made. Another was saying yes to Trayden. His love, support, and friendship has become the soft place I land after the hardest days. No matter how far I travel, how much weight I carry, or how loud the world gets—he is my peace, my partner, and the home I never knew I needed. Together, we’re building a life full of strength, love, and purpose. And I can’t wait to see where the next chapter leads us. 💛

Question

Our greatest adventure

Answer

Our love story isn’t a fairytale—unless fairytales include cheesy dates, road trips with questionable playlists, and accidentally buying way too much camping gear. We’re Ellie and Trayden, and we’ve been adventuring through life together, one mountain, beach, and sushi roll at a time. We’ve traveled to breathtaking views, skied down slopes (Trayden insists he’s better), and lounged on cruise ships pretending we’re in a movie. We love the outdoors—campfires, stars, ocean waves, mountain air... basically anything that lets us escape reality and eat snacks outside. Our relationship runs on love, laughter, and a shared dream of building a life together—starting with moving in, getting a dog (still deciding on a name), and filling our days with adventure, comfort, and probably more Rancherito burritos than we should admit. We make each other laugh every single day, whether it’s during grocery runs, car karaoke, or setting up camp before sunset. Through it all, we’ve found in each other not just love, but home. This is our favorite chapter so far—but it’s only the beginning.
