Think "garden tea party" or "upscale brunch." Because... it is an upscale brunch. Don't wear white?
My spirit animal is the crotchety father from the seminal film, Footloose: the Reverend Shaw Moore, so elegantly played by John Lithgow. Mr. Moore outlawed dancing in his small town, and there was peace, until an unruly outsider, played by Kevin Bacon, used his scheming ways to ruin the tranquility of the entire village. At least that was my interpretation of the film. There is no dance floor in the KITCHEN. We will not be having a first dance, a mother-son dance, a father-daughter dance, a collective "everyone-hold-hands and sway" dance, dirty dancing, the macarena, or square dancing. Soft rocking is okay, but I am watching you. You're pushing it.
